  • Overview

    This position performs administrative and benefits support in the Human Resources department.  

    Responsibilities

    • Manages all new hire paperwork, including offer letters, contributing to personnel files and creating onboarding schedules/packets
    • Assists with company benefit administration and field questions related to medical, dental, vision, 401k, and voluntary life insurance, among others
    • Conducts all New Employee Orientations
    • Conducts Employee Exit Interviews
    • Ensures that surveys and benefits information are distributed/completed
    • Provides general administrative support for hiring and recruiting, including but not limited to conducting reference checks, generating offer letters and processing background checks
    • Assists with the planning and implementing of company social events, culture activities and wellness initiatives
    • Assists with the Employee Recognition Program
    • Protects the integrity of confidential information for all matters pertaining to Human Resources
    • Processes and responds to unemployment claims
    • Completes verification of employment requests
    • Provides information and assistance to employees regarding human resources activities, processes, policies, and procedures
    • Verifies and corrects all Human Resources paperwork as required
    • Manage various HR special projects and assignments on an ad hoc basis

    Qualifications

    • Able to maintain confidentiality
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative and changing environment
    • Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel
    • Able to build trust and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Good judgment
    • Self-motivated
    • Ability to work individually and as a part of a team
    • Willingness to manage and maintain multiple responsibilities
    • 1 - 3 years of experience in the field of Human Resources
    • A college degree (BS or BA preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience working on Human Resource Systems (ADP, HRB, iCIMS, etc.)
